At Silver Creek Township, we do our best to keep things clear, honest, and easy for our residents. Whether you’ve lived here your whole life, just moved in, or are simply curious about how the township works, this page is a good place to start.
The Township is run by two main groups: the Town Board of Supervisors and the Planning & Zoning Committee. These groups work together to take care of our roads, review zoning and land use requests, manage the budget, and make sure township services meet the needs of our community.
This page gives a simple breakdown of what each group does, when they meet, and how you can stay updated. You’ll also find quick links to meeting minutes, agendas, and other helpful info.
If you have questions about township procedures or meetings, please contact the township office or attend a scheduled meeting. We’re here to help!
Silver Creek Township held its first board meeting on May 11, 1858, shortly after the Wright County Board of Commissioners officially established the township on April 6, 1858.
The Township is governed by five elected supervisors, each serving a four-year term. Elections are held during November of even-numbered years.
Board Meetings are held:
All meetings are open to the public. Agendas and minutes are posted online for anyone who cannot attend in person.
Established in 1976, the Planning & Zoning Committee was formed to review land use, development, and zoning requests within the township. It serves as an advisory board and plays a key role in maintaining the character, safety, and long-term planning of Silver Creek.
This board is made up of five appointed members, each serving a three-year term, working alongside the Town Board.
